The person in this role will assist in the leadership and management of the house, providing supervision and guidance to the team of Direct Support Professional staff on shift.
The assignment of staff to a Shift Coordinator will be determined by each staff's scheduled shifts. The Shift Coordinator’s assigned group will be staff that work the majority of their shifts during the time the Shift Coordinator is scheduled. (The schedule of the shift coordinators will be determined by house need and will be determined).
The guidance the Shift Coordinators provide will be centered around day to day work assignments, general attendance and punctuality, and teaching about and developing, Core Competencies. The Shift Coordinator will work with the assigned staff on Core Competencies weekly and will maintain an open line of the communication with the Team Director regarding staff’s progress and overall work performance. In the event counseling on work performance is necessary, the Team Director and Shift Coordinator will meet with staff to discuss and resolve concerns. Further disciplinary actions will be addressed by the Team Director.
