Overview

 

Join our team in the Community Services program as a Library Support Staff! This part-time position of 15-20 hours per week will assist in supporting Racker’s Lending Library in Cortland.  This position is for evenings and weekend coverage. Racker's Lending Libraries are open to individuals within the OPWDD programs, as well as their family, staff, and supports. The library is designed to support those living at home with their parent/caregivers to help find sensory items to meet their particular needs. Racker offers this service in 3 locations with open library hours, as well as an option to deliver items between locations and to participants’ homes, when needed. Library Support Staff will work collaboratively with the team to open the library to visitors and maintain a safe and accessible space for all.  

 

Rate of pay:   $17.25/hour.  

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Ensure services delivered, and uphold a customer-service focus throughout interactions with individuals, families, and other service providers who come to Racker for support
  • Oversee daily conditions of the libraries to ensure Racker’s FSS programs are available, organized, safe, and accessible for all individuals, families and community members
  • Collaborate with other Racker programing to welcome Racker participants to the library for scheduled visits
  • Partner with FSS volunteers and ensure that together services are delivered as designed
  • Maintain quality and care of FSS inventory and items available to individuals, families, and providers; Including inspecting, sanitizing, and organizing of goods.
  • Complete service documentation for the tracking of service milestones for designated FSS programs, including quarterly narratives/summaries in accordance with the reporting schedule provided by the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities Regional Offices (DDROs)

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to meet the agency's approved driver criteria
