We’re looking for a Behavior Intervention Specialist to join our Family Support Services team in Cortland, NY. In this role, you’ll provide guidance, interventions, and support to individuals and families, fostering positive behavioral outcomes.

Salary range is $50,000- $62,000 depending on experience plus a $3,000 sing-on bonus! Position is also eligible for Public School Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program!

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement behavior intervention plans to support individuals and families.
  • Conduct assessments and collaborate with families to create personalized support strategies.
  • Provide training and guidance to caregivers and staff on behavioral techniques.
  • Monitor progress, adjust strategies as needed, and document outcomes.
  • Advocate for individuals and connect them with necessary resources.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Behavioral Science, or a related field. BCBA or LBA, or an NYS license in mental health counseling.  
  • Experience working with individuals with behavioral challenges and their families.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of behavior intervention techniques and crisis management strategies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
