Overview

Join our Racker Team in this critical role of Administrative Assistant for our Lighthouse and Possibilities programs at TST BOCES. This Part-Time position is approximately 20 hours per week, following a school calendar (all holidays, school breaks and summers off). This position is responsible for administrative support and managing referral workflow. Hybrid work arrangement is possible.

 

Starting wage $19-$21/hr

Responsibilities

  • Provide coordination and clerical support for confidential program documentation, including electronic records
  • Maintain student files with a focus on organization, timely filing and orderly presentation
  • Organize intake schedule and other related tasks as assigned
  • Perform telephone and reception tasks
  • Support program staff in accessing technology, in collaboration with Racker’s IT department
  • Maintain program space that is welcoming and supportive of staff and those we serve
  • Maintain open and direct communication with team members
  • Communicate with school district partners to obtain records in a timely fashion
  • Assist in the creation of reports from the database
  • Coordinate program evaluation efforts
  • Support and assist with clerical needs for professional development and trainings
  • Ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills. Knowledge of word-processing, spreadsheet, and database applications is recommended, along with a warm phone demeanor and strong communication skills

Qualifications

Education/Certification: Minimum GED/HS diploma required, Associate's Degree or equivalent experience preferred

 

Physical Requirements: Ability to operate standard office equipment. Valid driver’s license.

 

Knowledge: Understanding of the mental health and public school system, understand and adhere to confidentiality

 

Skills: Ability to type with speed and accuracy. Experienced with Microsoft Suite, database management, report writing, strong written and verbal communication skills, highly organized and flexible
