We are seeking a Preschool Support Coordinator to help ensure the smooth daily operation of our integrated preschool program. This role is central to fostering an organized, safe, and welcoming environment where children, families, and staff thrive. The Preschool Support Coordinator manages on-site logistics, communication, and administrative functions, working closely with program leadership and classroom staff to support both day-to-day needs and long-term projects. Position is M-F, on-site, 37.5 hours per week. Rate of pay is $21-$24/hour depending on experience. This position is fully benefits eligible. 

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a central point of contact for family, staff and external partners to ensure an organized, safe and welcoming preschool environment. 
  • Work closely with leadership staff to manage projects, track deadlines and facilitate scheduling of tasks. 
  • Draft communications to staff, families or external partners as assigned. 
  • Assist and coordinate professional development activities, staff celebrations/anniversaries, and staff events 
  • Maintain and communicate daily staff schedules at assigned preschool sites 
  • Communicate schedule changes to classrooms and assist in the facilitation of coverage of unexpected absences at assigned preschool sites 
  • Maintain and manage building security access for staff and parents. 
  • Monitor building safety and maintenance needs, submitting and tracking work orders. 
  • Assist with monitoring regulatory and licensing requirements as assigned. 
  • Manage inventory, ordering and accounting of building supplies, equipment and snacks. 
  • Prepare reports and summaries as assigned. 
  • Coordinate logistics such as transportation and field trips. 
  • Assist with special events and family engagement activities. 
  • Provide coverage in classrooms as needed to support health and safety ratios. 
  • Assume responsibility for related duties as required or assigned. 
  • Use of smartphone for documentation purposes required. Ownership/usage of personal smartphone is strongly preferred.  
  • This position is on-site and is not eligible for remote work.   

Qualifications

  • Education/Certification: Associates degree preferred 
  • Experience: Two years or more years of experience in an administrative support roleExperience in childcare preferred. 
  • Qualities: Strong written communication skills, high attention to detail and accuracy, demonstrated ability to work across service areas and departments, ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Ability to operate standard office equipment.
