The Senior Day Treatment Counselor will work as a part of an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive mental health support to students within a school setting. As part of this work, you will develop and implement treatment plans that enhances the student’s social, emotional and behavioral functioning in school, home and community and reflects the perspectives of the student, family and other involved supports. Day Treatment counselors conduct individual and group therapy, provide family support and case management, and offer classroom support as needed. Senior Day Treatment Counselors monitor, support, and evaluate the clinical work offered by assigned staff.
About the Program:
Racker is expanding Day Treatment programs in partnership with Onondaga-Cortland-Madison (OCM) BOCES and the local school districts to help young people with emotional and behavioral needs. Students in the Day Treatment program receive comprehensive mental health services that are integrated into their academic program. Join our integrated team of providers including social workers, psychologists, a child psychiatrist, a psychiatric nurse practitioner and a medication coordinator. Our high level of staffing allows us to provide an intensive level of assessment, mental health support and skill building. We serve ages 5 – 21, from eight component school districts. The Day Treatment program is expanding into the Liverpool location. If you are interested in being part of a budding team in a new location, this is an opportunity to make a big difference.
